Guide
Use topics
Keep Mom's health, the reunion or the move in one place, seen only by one circle.
What a topic is
A circle decides who; a topic decides what. Every circle has a General topic, where a post goes unless you pick another, and Documents for its files. Add topics for the things you plan: Mom's health, the reunion, a sibling's job hunt. Everyone in the circle can see its topics, and nobody else can.
Add a topic
- Open the Topics tab. Topics are grouped by circle.
- Under the circle, tap Add a topic and type a name.
Post to a topic
When you share, pick the topic instead of a circle's General. Or open the topic and write, attach a photo or a file, or reply by voice.
Keep it quiet, or put it in Home
Topics stay out of the Home feed so the feed stays about moments; their unread count shows in the Topics tab. If one matters to you every day, open it and turn on Show in Home and send notifications.
To share with a different set of people, make a new circle rather than a topic. A topic always belongs to exactly one circle.
