Child safety standards
Simple Family is a private app for families, made by Komodo AI LLC. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Last updated October 18, 2026.
What is never allowed
- Any content that sexualizes a minor, including images, video, audio, text or links.
- Grooming, sextortion, or any attempt to contact a child for sexual purposes.
- Sharing, requesting or promoting child sexual abuse material in any form.
How Simple Family protects children
- Children under 13 cannot have accounts. A parent can add a child profile, which has no sign-in and cannot be contacted.
- Families are invite-only and private. There are no public profiles, no search for strangers and no way to message people outside your family.
- Our AI never alters or identifies children in photos or videos, and our content guardrails block sexual content involving minors.
Reporting
Anyone can report a post from inside the app: tap the … menu on the post, choose Report post, then Child safety. Reports go only to Simple Family support; nobody in the family is told who reported. You can also hide a person's posts from the same menu.
You can also email hello@simplefamily.app.
What we do with reports
- We review child safety reports as our highest priority, within 24 hours.
- We remove violating content, suspend the accounts involved and preserve the evidence as the law requires.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement.
Contact
Our child safety point of contact is Ryan Oberoi, Komodo AI LLC, reachable at hello@simplefamily.app.
