Simple Family

Privacy

Simple Family is made by Komodo AI LLC. It exists to keep your family's moments inside your family. This page says plainly what we collect, why, and what we never do. Last updated October 15, 2026.

Who sees what

Everything you share (videos, photos, replies, files, call notes) is visible only to the members of the circle it was shared in. There are no public profiles, no public links and nothing is indexed by search engines. Media is delivered through short-lived signed links issued only after we check that the viewer is in the circle.

What we collect

How Komodo, our AI, uses it

Komodo writes captions and short stories for what you share, translates posts and replies into each member's language, turns voice replies into text, and, when everyone on a call has agreed, writes call notes. To do that, content is sent to the AI model providers we use (Google Gemini for text, Deepgram for speech) only to produce those results. Komodo never alters or identifies children, never runs face recognition, and never gives medical, legal or financial advice.

Calls

Calls are noted only after each person agrees, once, and anyone can turn notes off for a call; then the transcript is deleted. Audio is not recorded.

Children

Children under 13 do not have accounts and cannot sign in. A parent can add a child profile so family posts can say "with" them. We collect no information from children.

What we never do

Leaving and deleting

Leaving a circle removes your access immediately. Deleting your account (Me → Delete my account) deletes your posts, replies and uploads. Email hello@simplefamily.app for a copy of everything you've posted.

Where it's kept

Your family's data is stored on Cloudflare in Komodo AI's own account, encrypted in transit and at rest.
